Metarhizium anisopliae is biological based on a selected strain of naturally-occurring entomopathogenic fungus. It is used in cotton, vegetables, fruits, sugarcane, cereals, pulses and nurseries.
The spores of metarhizium anisopliae get attached to the cuticle of the host on contact. The fungus gains entry through the cuticle by enzymes. It infects host by producing hyphae from germinating spores that penetrate the host integument, It eventually grows through the host cuticle and sporulates on the body of the host and make it inactive in 4-6 days.

MODE OF ACTION :
The spores of this fungus when come in contact with the cuticle (skin) of target host, they germinate and grow directly through the cuticle to the inner body of their host. The fungus proliferates throughout the host’s body, draining the host of nutrients, and eventually making it inactive.
INCREASES CROP PRODUCTION :
Pest reduction leads to improved plant health and thereby increased crop productivity. Adding beneficial microbes can help improve the soil microbiome, which inturn improved fruit yield or crop health.
IMPROVES SOIL HEALTH :
Metarhizium anisopliae does not lead to residue problems and doesn’t cause resistance or resurgence problems. By maintaining the organic matter inputs to the soil which in turn maintain the soil health.
METHODS OF APPLICATION :
SOIL DRENCHING :
Mix 10 g of Metarhizium anisopliae powder with 1 liter of water without any lumps and spray over the plants. Best to apply during late afternoon or evening and also during cloudy or rainy days.
SOIL APPLICATION :
Mix 20 g of Metarhizium anisopliae powder with compost and sprinkle around the plant or tree trunk in the soil. For Plantation crops like banana, coffee, avocado, orange etc.
FIELD APPLICATION :
Mix 100 g of Metarhizium anisopliae in 10-15 kg of farm yard manure, Mix well and keep the mixture under shade with sufficient moisture for 1 week and then broadcast in the field.

APPLICATION : SPRAYING : 1. Mix 10 g of Metarhizium anisopliae powder in 1 litres of water. 2. Mix thoroughly untill the lumps are broken. 3. Now spray over the plants including underside of the plant leaves. SOIL APPLICATION : 1. Mix 100 g of Metarhizium anisopliae powder in 10-15 kg of farm yard manure or field soil. 2. Apply evenly over the field soil. RECOMMEDED INTERVAL OF TIME : For greenhouse, applications in every 10-15 days are recommended.
