I’m a 66 year old novice and it took less than 10 minutes to install. First test worked like a charm. I put all the parts back on tightened everything up and it started like a charm. My mower repair company wanted $200+ for the name brand part and $100 for labor. Did it all for $55 including tax. Happy as can be right now. Wil see what happens in the spring.

I’ve had a Husqvarna Riding Mower with a Kohler Courage 24 HP since 2013 that’s intermittently had starting problems which I always attributed to the battery. Sometimes it would just not crank the engine, sometimes it would spin and not engage the flywheel, and I’ve always had problems restarting the engine when hot.I was getting the mower ready to sell the other day, and sure enough – it won’t start reliably again and I sure can’t sell it if it’s acting up. It finally dawned on me it was a starter problem instead of a battery problem. Since I was selling it I didn’t want to sink a lot of money in it, and this starter looked like it fit the bill.When I received it and put it on (two mounting bolts and one 12V connection, took less than 5 minutes to swap out) I couldn’t believe the difference. The engine had not started this well, EVER. The ECCPP starter not only fit perfectly and solved my problem at a reasonable price, but it was better than the Kohler starter ever had been. Lots of power, reliable engagement, and spins the engine fast enough for consistent starting cold or hot. Really happy with this purchase.

i priced an oem starter from cub cadet …196-00 plus freight and a one week wait …went on line with part number found this for half price and it is identical in fit and function …saved a ton of money and am very satisfied
