Good quality but less qty
The quality of the red soil is fantastic just like the soul frm southern India, superfine just like salt free flowing. Wht I am skeptical though is tht fact tht it doesn’t seem like 5 kg. I just topped up my 6 miss size pots with it and it got over.

The plants are growing healthy but price wise it’s overpriced for 5kg.

Good soil, costly, retains water
Soil quality is very good. It’s property red soil and a very fine one at that. No pebbles, stones etc.I made a mistake of not reading instructions clearly in my first use case. So do not use it directly for potting. It retains water a lot and becomes like clay.In next use case, I mixed with cow dung manure & river sand. This was a mistake too. It was still retain water, although not clay like.I lost my plants due to root rotting in both cases. Then I tried mixing with cocopeat, cow dung manure 1:1:1 proportion. Still not fully happy with result.Cocopeat also retains water, soil also does and monsoon moisture was just not letting soil mixture dry up.Pros:Good, refined red soilCons:High water retention, didn’t expect so much.Costly.Notes:Possibly work better with 1:1 soil:vermicompost and mix a little porous sstones such as perilite or small brick pieces. Use filter material like brick/pumice at the bottom of the pot

Trust basket not at all trustworthy
I bought 2 packs of 5 kgs each of garden soil very recently from Trustbasket. I was impressed with the delivery speed. The soil comes in a covering cloth bag with a plastic bag filled with soil inside. The first bag that I opened I was happy with the contents inside..the soil was dry, clean and sheer too. However firat impressions can be disastrous…with great anticipation, when I opened the outer cloth bag of the second one, I was surprised to see that the inner plastic bag was already cut from the corner before and the soil inside wasn’t dry at all..it was damp and lumpy…when I empied the entire contents of the bag, I found the cut plastic piece deep inside the soil I can only infer that prior to shipping the seller had cut open the bag and taken out some amount of soil and made the rest of the contents damp to increase the weight…the buyer doesn’t realise that he has been cheated and that he is getting much lesser content than what he has paid for. What I don’t understand is that how can soil in one bag be completely dry and in another damp and lumpy ? Something doesn’t seem right..I would urge Amazon to take strict action against Trust Basket In my case I paid for 10 kgs of garden soil and must have got around 8 -9 kgs. Please beware.
