I’ve read a lot of gardening books and this one is a new favorite, with a different perspective. Observe, trust, and cooperate with nature. When you fight nature, you will lose. I am a Montessori teacher and there are many parallels in the two philosophies.

A nice resource with a new perspective on gardening. Good for people who are interested is deconstructed gardening, letting nature do the designing while you give a helping hand. Cottage type gardening or controled chaos gardening, seeking the beauty in the natural state of your unique plot.

I knew nothing about gardening before reading this book, but now I feel confident to start my own! The explanations are clear, and I love how simple the methods are. It showed me how to grow food with little effort while letting nature do most of the work. I learned so much and canât wait to apply these tips. Highly recommend for anyone who wants an easy way to garden.

I really liked this book and approach to minimal touch gardening. For so many seasons my garden game was a wait and see approach. I was fighting soil, optimal sun, and wild rabbits. It wasn’t until I gave up and started a container garden that I was finally winning. However, this book caught my attention simply with the word Effortless. All practical approaches and tips on what to do and not do, this book has it all. I will definitely add this to my library of resources. This was a very easy read and just as easy to implement into my already growing garden but maybe I dial back on fertilizing, increase companion plantings, add use better mulch material.
