How to use Elephant Brand Mustard Oil Cake Powder?
DOSAGE – 1 cup (approx. 25-30g) for every 12 inches of pot diameter, three times a year. If the plant is larger, quantity can be increased (1/2 cup for every 1 foot increase in diameter or height).
DIRECT APPLICATION – Dig a trench around 2-3 inches deep all around the plant leaving 3 inches from the plant trunk. Uniformly spread the fertiliser ( it is recommended to start with 30 grams of the fertiliser) in the trench and then cover the trench with soil. Water the plant till some water comes out from the bottom of pot.
AS FERTILISER TEA – Mustard cake powder can also be used as fertiliser tea (in liquid form). In liquid form, Oil Cake also acts as a natural fungicide. How to make fertiliser tea – Put cake powder with water in a 1:40 ratio and allow the solution to rest for a day and mix well. Some even ferment this for upto 10 days. Pour on top of the soil before planting the seeds, and then add in a recurring interval. The quantity depends on the nature of the plant.
