I bought this 5 years ago and I use it all the time. I volunteer at a community garden and they call me over, bring that tool. I’m buying another one to donate to them. It’s great to dig holes for planting, and easier to carry around than a large pick axe. This tool works very well because of the serrated edges, and it is strong enough not to bend or come loose.A very good value.

I bought it to help my 70 year old mom to remove some old roots from her garden. She ended up keeping it and using it daily in her garden. She loves how it’s very sturdy but very light and easy to maneuver. She has arthritis and joint problems but loves gardening. And it’s very rare she loves anything I buy and great to see her use it daily to plant things out remove weeds etc with this.

Bought this one since I had never tried one of these and this one was less expensive. Should have paid a little more and got better quality. The tines(?) are already bent 🙁

I needed to break through frozen soil to decorate a big planter. Temps were in the low 30s and overnight in the 20s with forecast of snow. Much to my surprise, after a few strikes, I broke through the frozen soil and continued to break off chunks of soil so I could get to the workable soil underneath. Useful for breaking up clumps of dirt or removing dead plants. I’m a gardener by trade and I’m glad I purchased this. Sturdy and useful.

T=In the photo below, you can see that the top tool narrow side is bent up. The tool on the bottom is as delivered. The digging tools are attached to the head with a very weak weld that bent after an hour’s use. The bottom tool also bent after this photo with 5 minutes of use. It bent while digging out thick clump grass with shallow but extensive roots. I really like this kind of tool, but I’m going to have to find a welder who can attach a reinforcement spine to fortify the weld. I conclude that this is a cheaply made imitation of similar tools I have had in the past.
