I really like this aereator. It’s cost effective and because it’s weighty and your foot is on it, it does a nice job. I’m sure there’s a faster way to do this, but cost had me looking for a better idea and this is it. I don’t feel like it’s over working me and the job goes pretty fast. It bolts together and is made of sturdy enough metal that I feel like it will last a long time.

Works for beds that are already loose. Does not work on anything with some roots. I wanted to clear a bed with some leftover plant roots and did not work at all. The handle twisted but the head stayed straight. After some use, the tines bent. The best I could do use it as an aerator. Dislike the multi piece handle. Instructions are VERY poor.

Some holes did not align. Had to modify to work. Works well after modifying .

Just used it today 4-25-25 and one of the metal folks bent from light force the soil was not that hard however it did have some rocks in it. Overall it did loosen the soil but not really sure about build quality of product. But I guess for the price you can’t really expect much. I would say it’s ok for small jobs

This unit is very strong and well built. The spikes are strong and don’t bend when twisting in typical garden soil. If pushed in with your foot or driven by hand into hardened clods the spikes will split it up. It handles that process just fine.
