Wah Tea is a pesticide and weedicide free brand that uses the finest plucked tea leaves from serene Palampur in the Kangra Valley, Himachal Pradesh. Wah is a high elevation estate, surrounded by the majestic Dhauladhar range of the Himalayas. For this, our artisanal, small batch teas are loved and trusted by select customers not just in India, but also overseas.

Decades of Tea Tradition
Wah Tea Estate was established in 1857 when the British found the Kangra Valley Suitable for tea plantations. The British planted the original Camellia Sinensh bushes which were smuggled in from China. However, due to a destructive earthquake in 1905, they abandoned this region.
In 1947, after the partition, the previous owner of Wah Tea Estate, Sir Sikandar Hyat Khan, left for Pakistan. The estate continued to be called ‘Wah’ after his hometown in Pakistan. In 1953 our family, known as the “Chaiwalas”, purchased the estate at a public auction. The tea estate was thus abandoned twice; once by the British after the earthquake, and then again due to the Partition. Regardless, on the basis of only hard work by the Prakash family, today Wah is the largest plantation in the Kangra valley manufacturing orthodox black and green tea. The estate is also completely pesticide and weedicide free.

Wah Green Tea truly Waah!
We have been using Wah Green Tea from the time we visited there Tea Garden back in 2017. Since then we have been regular buyer. The wah kangra green tea has a very unique flavour and has good immunity booster properties which many Green Teas claim but lack. Have seen there process at the Tea Garden and it’s really good and people who make it are genuine. From last couple of years we have been ordering from Amazon. 5 stars from my side.

I’m a green tea lover and that is why I have tried about 20 different brands of green tea in the last 6 years. In my evaluation, I would rate Wah green tea 9.5/10, not only this, I found it the best so far. It has that natural aroma of hills and amazing color when brewed. One feels so fresh after having few sips of it. The tea garden is just a few kilometers from my hometown (Kangra) and I have visited the tea garden so many times. Undoubtedly, I rate it 5 stars.
