Product Description
Eco-Friendly Insect Control: The Chipku Ecomax Trap with melon fly lure offers an environmentally safe method of controlling melon flies, a major insects in crops like musk melon and squash. By using pheromone lures that replicate the scent of female melon flies, the trap effectively attracts and captures the male flies, reducing the population without the need for chemical sprays. This approach helps maintain the ecological balance by targeting only the harmful insects while keeping beneficial insects safe.
High Capture Efficiency: Designed with a semi-spherical shape and strategic entrance holes, the Chipku Ecomax trap maximizes insect capture. The pheromone lure inside emits a powerful attractant that lures melon flies, which then become trapped in a water-filled base. This trap is proven to control up to 75% of the insect population, significantly lowering the risk of crop damage by breaking the lifecycle of the flies before they can lay eggs.
Durable and Weather-Resistant: Constructed from high-quality materials, the Chipku Ecomax Trap is built to withstand harsh weather conditions, making it suitable for long term use. Its strong design ensures long-term strength, allowing farmers to use it across multiple growing seasons. The lure remains effective in all weather conditions, providing continuous protection against melon fruit flies.
Cost-Effective and Easy to Use: The trap is lightweight, simple to install, and requires minimal maintenance, making it accessible to all farmers. It’s a cost-effective alternative to expensive chemical insect controls, saving money in the long run by reducing the need for chemical treatments. Moreover, the trap’s extended lifespan and reusability contribute to its overall cost efficiency.
Safe for Crops and Environment: Unlike chemical sprays that can harm crops and beneficial insects, the Chipku Ecomax Trap offers a safe, organic solution for melon fly control. The pheromone lure specifically targets melon flies, ensuring that other insects, including pollinators, are not affected. This trap not only protects crops but also contributes to a healthier farming environment.

Good trap, works well
It seems to attact and trap the mango-fruit flies (Bactocera Dorsalis) which lays eggs inside the fruit and thus infest with worms. I used along with some soap water at the bottom to trap them (make sure that the lure does not touch the water). Ist day the catch was great! The lid is difficult to install and needs some practice to snap it into place. The design could have been better (like a a threaded lid). Not sure how well it would hold up against rain etc.

Doesn’t serve my purpose
This is very specific to fruit flies and not for small flies in the kitchen. That too for places that have too many fruit flies. Pheromones don’t seem to be working as expected, as it was able to catch just one bug over a week.
